An 'armed and dangerous' Oxford University employee and an American microbiology professor are on the run today after a hair stylist was found stabbed to death in a luxury Chicago apartment block. Andy Warren, 56, from Swindon, and Wyndham Lathem, 42, who teaches at Northwestern University in the US city are wanted for the murder of 26-year-old Trenton H. James Cornell-Duranleau. Police have launched a nationwide manhunt and a judge has issued first-degree murder arrest warrants for the men accused of repeatedly stabbing Mr Cornell-Duranleau in Lathem's luxury apartment on July 27. Mr Warren, a former bus driver and train buff who works in payroll at Oxford's Somerville College, is believed to be days into his first trip to America when the murder took place. Lathem is an associate professor of microbiology at Chicago's prestigious Northwestern University, where he is an expert in immunising against bubonic plague. Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said last night that they believe the men have fled Illinois, adding: 'The search for them will only intensify. They should do the right thing and turn themselves in to any police station. It’s only a matter of time.' Source
