Comedian Fuquan Johnson is among three dead from 'fentanyl-laced cocaine overdose' at LA party: Model and comedian Kate Quigley is in critical condition
Comedian Fuquan Johnson and two others died while a comedian-model was rushed to hospital in critical condition this weekend from apparent overdoses of fentanyl-laced cocaine.
Johnson was 42-years-old.
The Los Angeles-based comic was among three people who were found dead at a party in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles early Saturday morning.
The other two victims have not been officially identified, while a fourth person who appeared to have also overdosed, believed to be comedian and model Kate Quigley, was transported to a hospital in critical condition, according to TMZ.
Johnson was a frequent performer on the Los Angeles comedy circuit, performing at various clubs around town for the last 10 years.
Quigley, who once dated Hootie & The Blowfish lead singer Darius Rucker, has appeared in several television shows including The Office, Star Trek: Hidden Frontier, and Guber. Source

A comedian who is said to have taken fentanyl-laced cocaine that killed three people at an LA house party has told a friend that she is recovering from the incident.
Kate Quigley, 39, texted friend Brian Redban Sunday to say: 'I'm alive. Not great. But im OK,' with Redban sharing a screenshot of the message on his Instagram Sunday.
It was a reply to Redban's worried message, which saw him ask her 'Text me you're okay,' following Friday night's deadly drugs incident. He captioned his Instagram screenshot of Quigley's text: 'I have had a bad month...and this has ruined me.. hug everyone you love.' Redban is a comedian best known for producing the Joe Rogan Experience.
Friday's incident also saw comedian Fuquan Johnson, 42, Enrico Colangeli, 48, and Natalie Williamson, 33, all die after taking the drug at a party in Venice Beach.
Johnson, 42, Enrico Colangeli (Rico Angeli), 48, and Natalie Williamson, 33 died from the overdose, according to TMZ.
Colangeli's family has spoken out about his tragic passing. Colangeli's cousin, Maria Spencer, spoke with The Sun to share the 'true heartbreak' of his death.
'Enrico (Ricky) was incredibly loved by his entire family, and we'll miss him more than words can describe,' she said. Spencer remembered her cousin as 'not only a smart, talented comedian' but 'a highly skilled carpenter who worked for his family's construction company. Source
